Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take animals into your own home?
No, I do not take pets into my home. I believe that the point of pet sitting is to keep your pet in its home environment.
How will I know if my pet is okay during my absence?
During our initial consultation we will discuss how and how often you would like to receive updates (via phone, text, or email).
What happens if my pet gets sick?
If there are any signs of illness, your pet will be taken to the veterinarian of your choice (which will be appointed during the initial consultation).
Are there any types of animals/breeds you do not accept?
Absolutely not! I have experience with a very wide variety of animals, including livestock. I also do not discriminate against breeds (Pitbulls, Dobermans, Rottweilers, etc). However, I reserve the right to refuse any client due to an animal who truly acts aggressive.
What happens if something is broken or stolen while I am away?
Safe ‘n’ Happy Pets is insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC, which covers my client’s property as well as their pets
What sets Safe ‘n’ Happy Pets apart from other sitters?
I pride myself in the fact that I am not only professional, but also a Certified Veterinary Assistant! I have training that many other pet sitters simply do not have.
Do you administer medications, fluids, or vitamins?
Yes. I will administer medications as directed by your veterinarian and add any additional supplements or subcutaneous fluids that you request. Again, each visit is personalized to your pet's needs!
