Tammy Black, owner of Safe ‘n’ Happy Pets, grew up where pets were an important part of the family. It was only natural that she would end up in a profession dealing with people that saw their own pets as cherished family members.
Tammy’s equestrian background began during childhood in 4-H, then went on to include riding Quarter Horses in various western riding disciplines, and eventually riding on the occasional cattle roundup in Montana. More recently Tammy’s focus has shifted to English riding and dressage.
Tammy continues to enhance her knowledge of the animal world, and, always striving to be the professional her clients need to care for their pets, she strongly believes that one can never stop learning. She is a Certified Veterinarian Assistant; an approved AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator; and holds certification from the American Red Cross in Pet First Aid/CPR for both canines and felines.
Whether the family pet is young and needs the special care and attention to help it become a good canine citizen, or an elderly one with special medical needs to keep it healthy and comfortable, Tammy has the expertise to care for them.
With any pet care professional, the owner needs to be confident that unusual behavior will be noticed and appropriate action initiated. Entrusting a pet’s care to Tammy will create that assurance because she personally sees each pet and is able to evaluate them during every visit. You can go away with confidence and peace of mind knowing that your pets are in caring, capable hands.
